AGRIFOP’S HINGANUBUZIRANENGE Enhancing Rwanda’s Food Safety

Since January 2024, AGRIFOP is implementing a project funded by the Delegation of European Union in Rwanda, entitled HINGANUBUZIRANENGE: Boosting food safety chain in Rwanda, with general objective to consolidate food security in Rwanda through strengthening of food safety chain with enhanced use of bio safe agricultural inputs that limits environmental harm and positively impact consumer’s health.The project is being implemented in 8 Districts including:Bugesera, Gicumbi, Rulindo, Kamonyi, Musanze, Nyabihu , Rubavu and Rwamagana.The project targeted groups are Agro-dealers,Lead farmers, Agro-inputs Suppliers (manufacturers and wholesalers),Farmer produce traders,Processors and Sector Agronomists. The crops to be targeted are French beans,Chill Pepper,Avocadoes,Tomatoes,Carrot,Irish Potatoes,Passion fruits,Tree tomatoes,Onions and Aubergine.
